Darkness
A large tom hurried through the forest, pushing with all his might against the strong winds of the night. The trees screamed as they cracked from the force of the mighty weather, making the toms muscles tense.
The icy breeze was lapping at whatever was left of the cats energy as he pressed onward. His paws ached for a rest, but he could not take one. His eyes glanced upward, staring at the deep red that the moon had turned.
His ears drew back against his head. He glanced over his shoulder, tail lowered onto the soft snow as he padded forward.
He could barely see. The darkness of the moon made it impossible to make anything out. He
